Role Overview
The Hostel Warden (Boys / Girls) will be responsible for the overall administration, discipline, safety, and smooth functioning of the hostel facilities. The role requires maintaining a secure, comfortable, and student-friendly living environment while ensuring compliance with hostel policies and institutional standards.
The Hostel Warden will act as the primary point of contact for hostel residents and coordinate with students, parents, administration, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day hostel operations and ensure smooth functioning of hostel facilities
- Maintain discipline, student welfare, and adherence to hostel rules and regulations
- Supervise hostel occupancy, room allocation, and resident records
- Monitor hostel attendance, entry/exit records, and visitor management processes
- Address student concerns, grievances, and emergency situations promptly
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams for hostel upkeep
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance of hostel premises
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and hostel facilities
- Maintain communication with parents regarding student welfare when required
- Organize student engagement and hostel activities to promote a positive living environment
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and institutional policies
- Prepare hostel reports, incident records, and administrative documentation

Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Management, Social Work, Education, or related field
- 0–5 years of experience in hostel administration, student affairs, residential management, or facility management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage students and handle emergency situations effectively
Desirable
- Experience working in educational institutions or residential campuses
- Knowledge of student counselling and conflict resolution
- Basic knowledge of hostel administration systems and reporting
