Facility Management: Ensuring that the hostel premises are well-maintained, clean, and safe for students. This includes regular inspections of rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and other facilities to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards.
Administration and Reception Duties: Maintain and update the students record such as date of Joining and date of leaving Address, phone no etc. Issue gate passes to students and takes attendance daily. Providing necessary information about the hostel's facilities and rules and addressing their concerns or complaints.
Security and Safety: Maintaining a secure environment for residents and their belongings. Monitoring access to the hostel, handling emergencies or incidents, and following safety protocols.
Maintenance Coordination: Coordinating repairs and maintenance work for the hostel's infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical systems, and general upkeep. Ensure no damage to the hostel furniture and fittings and timely repair and maintenance.
Inventory and Supplies Management: Keeping track of inventory levels. ordering supplies and maintaining adequate stock to meet the hostel's needs.
Financial Management: Handling and managing billing, maintaining financial records, and reporting any discrepancies or issues to the management.
Students Service and Support: Helping students and parents, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay. Resolving conflicts or disputes among students and enforcing hostel policies.
Team Coordination: Supervising and managing a team of cleaning staff, security personnel, and other support staff. Providing guidance and scheduling to ensure efficient operations.
Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring that the hostel operates in compliance with per institute rule and regulation, health and safety standards, and any other requirements. To ensure that no ragging takes place in the hostels and maintain a ragging free Hostel.
Emergency Preparedness: Being prepared to handle emergencies such as medical situations, fire drills, or evacuations. Implementing emergency protocols and guiding students and staff during crisis situations.
Qualifications And Experience
Must be Bachelor's/master's degree.
Thorough Knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, E-Mail etc.
Working knowledge in Hostel Management Software is an added advantage.
Minimum 57 years of experience in hostel/residential school management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Fluency in English, Hindi and Odia language
Full-time, residential position with 24/7 availability.
