Job Description

KRAs

Execution & Implementation

Oversee the sourcing and procurement of high-quality plants, soil, fertilizers, and landscaping materials from local nurseries and vendors.
Manage the execution of softscape projects on-site, ensuring proper soil preparation, planting, irrigation setup, and drainage execution.

Maintenance & Upkeep

Monitor plant health, diagnose diseases, and implement effective pest control and weed management strategies.
Ensure optimal operation of irrigation systems, adapting watering schedules for seasonal variations (pre-monsoon, monsoon, and winter).

Team & Vendor Management

Train, manage, and evaluate a team of on-site gardeners and landscaping supervisors.
Negotiate with and manage third-party landscaping contractors, nurseries, and material suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
Prepare and manage the annual horticulture budget for the company's portfolio.

Requirements

Must-have Skills

5 to 8+ years of hands-on experience in horticulture or landscape management.

Experience working with a real estate developer, luxury hospitality brand, or large-scale landscape contractor is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills/Experience

Extensive knowledge of the native flora of West Bengal and plants suited for Kolkata's specific microclimates.

Familiarity with modern irrigation techniques (drip irrigation, sprinkler systems) and drainage planning.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and landscaping blueprints.
