Senior Manager Fresh Produce (Horticulture) Vertical

Role summary
Own and scale the fresh produce / horticulture vertical for JustDeliveries. You will lead GTM, acquire marquee horticulture clients, and design cold-chain solutions tailored to produce-specific requirements. This is a high-impact commercial role with clear ownership of revenue, strategy, and vertical build-out.
Key responsibilities
- Lead B2B sales and GTM for the horticulture vertical; acquire and grow Tier-1 customers (growers, aggregators, exporters, importers, organised retail).
- Deeply understand horticulture seasonality, handling requirements, shelf-life constraints and post-harvest logistics.
- Translate customer needs into end-to-end cold-chain solutions (collection, storage, transport, SLAs, pricing).
- Drive enterprise sales cycles: account planning, stakeholder mapping, negotiations and closures.
- Build and maintain a strong industry network across customers, cold stores, packhouses and ecosystem partners.
- Own revenue, margins and pipeline quality for the vertical; feed structured market intelligence into leadership.
- Work closely with Ops and Product to standardise and scale horticulture-specific service offerings.
Mandatory requirements
- 45 years of B2B sales experience in horticulture / fresh produce / cold-chain / agri supply chains.
- Strong domain knowledge of horticulture logistics: seasonality, handling norms, temperature sensitivity, ripening.
- Proven ability to close enterprise accounts and manage long, consultative sales cycles.
- Existing industry connects and active customer/vendor relationships.
- Commercial strength: pricing, contracts, SLAs and margin ownership.
- Top-tier academic background strongly preferred IIT / IIM / ISB / top global or Indian B-schools.
Nice to have
- Experience building or scaling a vertical or category from an early stage.
