We are seeking a detail-oriented Home Health Coder to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding home health services based on clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, and supporting the overall quality of patient care through precise coding practices.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding of home health services.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM codes for diagnoses and procedures based on the documentation provided.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding queries.
- Stay updated with the latest coding guidelines and changes in regulations.
- Participate in quality assurance audits and assist in training new staff on coding practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in home health coding.
- Proficient in using coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- In-depth knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding and coding guidelines.
- Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement processes and regulatory compliance.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with clinical staff and coding teams.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred or non certified also fine.
