We are seeking a skilled Home Health Coder (HHC) to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical records for home health services, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of coding practices.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records for coding accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify any discrepancies in documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of coding assignments to meet departmental deadlines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in home health care settings.
- Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data and documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding work.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
