Standards Development (70%)
- Be focal point of contact for any standards development activities in India, Southeast Asia & MEA
- Be a key person for industry engagement with focus on OEMs & EMS/PCBA for identifying scope for standards development
- Develop new regional standards & guidelines with support from industry experts
- Focus on innovative & current industry trends, cultivate scope for EV/Consumer electronics/mobile manufacturing/strategic electronics standards development
- Coordination with Global Electronics Association HQ & other regional office for understanding Standards cycle process including periodic updates and requirement of industry inputs
- Invite comments from the industry members/CITs/CIS. Work with Regional Team for follow up with members
- Convene regular meetings with Committee Members related to standards review and document necessary inputs
- Steer the Group effectively for producing & add value to new/revised IPC Standards from India region
- Document all reports of industry inputs and suggestions from Committee members and share with HQ within timeline
- Manage all activities related to standards review
- Coordinate and build relations with Standards & regulatory stakeholders in the Region for adopting IPC Standards for India & SEA
- Act as resource person for Govt/Stakeholder committee meetings
- Standard Gap Analysis:Lead the Global Electronics Association SGA program in the region. Identify Members with support from Regional Team and coordinate on SGA process. Act as Technical Expert or identify MITs/HQ Expert to carry out the process leading to validation service
Content Development (30%)
- Develop customized courses from Standards with support from Regional/Training Team
- Content development and conduct customized trainings as per Global Electronics Association guidelines.
- Manage all technical activities related to Global Electronics Association India skill challenge program Hand Soldering/Wire Harness/PCB Design
- Identify new interconnected standards or addendum with relevance to important vertical market sectors (e.g Aerospace/defense/automotive) and create promotional materials with help from Marketing
- With support from the Regional/Marketing Team, organize virtual/physical Standards workshops/webinars to create awareness of IPC Standards. Create & make presentation on benefits of particular
- Review Technical Articles from Members and validate for Global Electronics Association website upload. Respond to Technical queries of Member related to Standards
- To release standards newsletter once every quarter.
Knowledge:
- Ability to develop relations with senior management of electronics companies
- Proven work experience as a Standards expert in electronic industry
- Must be quality oriented and willing to promote quality standards
- Track record in designing and executing successful training & workshops programs
- Knowledge of skill development in India
- Detailed technical oriented

Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics
- Degree or Diploma in Management/Administration
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required
Experience
12 - 15 years with Electronics Company/Association/Training Department
Job Status
- Full time with 6 months probationary
