Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Design (Electrical Engineer) at Pune (Kondhapuri) location.
- Good and sound knowledge of Dry type transformer design, specification with latest amendments.
- Ensure electrical design of product and ensure its conformity with specifications and standards
- Customer direct interactions for technical clearances and acceptance of deviations if any
- Design & Development of new products like foil winding, VPI Transformers etc.
- Ensure design improvements for reduction of stray losses.
- Ensure approvals for engineering information prior to release for manufacturing
- Product reliability enhancement
- Analysis of failures
- Reduce design errors through corrective actions
- Contribute towards divisional profitability by reducing material content in electrical design aspects
- Prepare and check electrical design of product and ensure its conformity with specifications and standards
- Conduct design review, verification and validation
- Standardize and computerize design process to reduce throughput time for generating documents for manufacturing
- Be abreast with latest technological developments in the industry
- Plan and ensure accurate and timely release of engineering information formanufacturing to achieve planned targets.
- Plan and ensure continual improvement by use of standardization, value engineeringand variety
- Plan & implement latest technological improvements decisions taken.
- Provide support to marketing function in order booking.
- Ensure management of functions as per the systems and procedures.
- Ensure efficient use of departmental resources.
- Should possess strong leadership qualities.
- Train, lead and motivate personnel and build performing teams.
