HOD Computer Science - AIML / Data science

Eligibility Criteria of a HOD

PhD degree in the relevant discipline (Preferred)

Master's degree (M.Tech(CSE) with at least 55% marks (Essential)

7-12 years of teaching/research/industry experience

Proven record of Domain Specific Knowledge (Ex: AI/ML, FSD, Cyber Security/Data Science etc.)

Proven record of publications in SCI/Scopus indexed journals.

Proven record of academic leadership.

Experience in curriculum development, BOS, academic committees.

Proven record of guiding projects, dissertations, PhD students (preferred)

Experience in accreditation activities (NAAC/NBA) (preferred)

Proven ability to manage faculty, timetables, academic planning

Ability to meet compliance of UGC, AICTE, NEP-2020 norms

Involvement in COPO mapping, OBE implementation, credit structure design, etc.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) of a HOD in Indian Universities

Working closely with the University stakeholders.

Ensuring 100% syllabus completion on time

Monitoring faculty lecture quality and teaching plans

Ensuring academic calendar compliance

Reducing student complaints related to academics

Timely preparation of timetables and workloads

Monitoring punctuality, course files, attendance updates

Faculty training & FDP participation

Conducting mentoring / faculty review meetings

Encouraging a research culture within the department
