Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled HMI Developer with 5.5–10.5 years of experience in the automotive domain to design and develop next- generation user interfaces for domain controller products. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Android Automotive OS (AAOS), along with hands-on experience using advanced UI/UX toolchains like Kanzi, and Unreal Engine. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Design and implement HMI applications for Infotainment systems of automotive domain controllers on Android (AAOS) platforms. 

Collaborate with UX/UI designers to bring wireframes and visual concepts to life using tools like Android Studio, Kanzi, and Unreal Engine. 

Added advantage if experienced with System UI development experience. 

Integrate HMI layers with middleware/Android Automotive framework. 

Optimize 3D graphics, animations, and overall performance of the HMI for smooth rendering and responsiveness for embedded systems with real-time constraints 

Conduct debugging, unit testing, and validation of HMI features across various hardware platforms and scenarios. 

Create clear and concise documentation for design, architecture, and workflows. 

Work closely with cross-functional teams including system architects, platform developers, and QA engineers. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electronics, or related field. 

4–8 years of experience in HMI development for automotive systems. 

Proficiency in Android Studio, Java/Kotlin. 

Strong experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS). 

Strong knowledge of Jetpack Compose. 

Experience with UI/UX tools such as Qt, Kanzi, and Unreal Engine. 

Understanding of embedded systems, real-time OS and performance optimization. 

Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet). 

Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD, and Agile development. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with AOSP customization and Android HAL development. 

Exposure to graphics rendering techniques, animations, 3D graphics principles and GPU optimization. 

Familiarity with SoCs from Qualcomm, Renesas, or NXP. 

Knowledge of cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434). 

Bachelor Of Technology (B.Tech/B.E), Masters in Technology (M.Tech/M.E)
