Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective history lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum.
  • Prepare, plan, and assess lesson plans and teaching materials to ensure an interesting learning experience.
  • Encourage students to explore historical events and understand their implications on society.
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress through assessments, tests, and classroom participation.
  • Provide feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and collaboration among students.
  • Participate in professional development activities and staff meetings to enhance teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the overall development of the school's curriculum and participate in school activities.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
  • Completion of a teacher training program (B.Ed. or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of historical content and educational best practices.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the school level, preferably in a similar subject.
  • Experience in using innovative teaching methodologies and techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a positive learning community.
