Who should apply
We are not looking for general translators, freelancers, or content writers. We are looking for the top 1% of scholars and practitioners deeply grounded in performing arts within the Indian cultural context.
You should meet most or all of the following:
- Native fluency in Urdu (reading and writing)
- Strong command of English (for prompt interpretation and evaluation)
- Deep academic, professional, or field expertise in Performing Arts, such as:
- Indian classical performance traditions (music, dance, theatre)
- Folk and regional performance practices across India
- Theatre and dramatic traditions (classical, modern, experimental)
- Performance theory, aesthetics, and criticism
- Contemporary performance practices and interdisciplinary work
- Storytelling, oral traditions, and performance-based pedagogy
- Performance history and historiography in the Indian context
- Curation, documentation, and archiving of performance traditions
- PhD, MPhil, or Master's degree preferred, or extensive credible experience in the field will also be considered.
- Passion for performance, cultural nuance, and embodied traditions
- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
Your Role
- Create advanced prompts in Urdu that challenge AI models
- Evaluate AI outputs for factual accuracy, cultural authenticity, and performance nuance
- Identify blind spots where AI oversimplifies embodied knowledge and lived performance traditions
- Collaborate with a global expert network shaping next-generation AI systems
