Hiring | Senior SQL Server DBA | Azure SQL | Azure Data Services

QuantumData Consulting is looking for a Senior SQL Server DBA for a full-time opportunity supporting a US insurance client.

Location: India – Remote

Employment: Full-time | KMG Payroll

Client: US Insurance

Shift: Day shift with minimum 4 hours overlap with US Eastern business hours

10+ years of hands-on production DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server is mandatory.

The candidate should have:

Strong SQL Server on-premises experience

Azure SQL Database experience in the last 4 years

Working experience with Azure Data Factory

Experience with Azure Data Services, preferably ADF, Databricks, Key Vault and Azure DevOps

Strong production troubleshooting and performance tuning experience

Experience with HA/DR, backup & recovery, security and database migrations

Experience supporting BI/reporting environments such as Power BI and SSRS

• SQL Server & Azure SQL administration, performance, security and availability

• Query tuning, indexing, blocking, deadlocks, Query Store and DMVs

• HA/DR, backups, recovery and DR testing

• SQL Server → Azure SQL migrations

• Azure Data Factory monitoring and troubleshooting

• Azure Databricks compute and cost management

• Azure Key Vault and Azure DevOps support

• Production incidents, RCA and change management

• Automation using T-SQL, PowerShell, SQL Agent and Azure tools
