Who should apply
We are not looking for general translators, freelancers, or content writers. We are looking for the top 1% of photography scholars and practitioners deeply grounded in the Indian visual context.
You should meet most or all of the following:
- Native fluency in Punjabi (reading and writing)
- Strong command of English (for prompt interpretation and evaluation)
- Deep academic, professional, or field expertise in Photography and visual culture, such as:
- Documentary photography in the Indian context
- Photojournalism and ethics
- Portraiture and representation across Indian communities
- Cultural, street, and travel photography across Indian regions
- Art photography and contemporary practices
- History of photography in India
- Visual anthropology and ethnographic photography
- Archival practices, photo conservation, and curation
- Digital photography, editing practices, and visual storytelling
- Indigenous perspectives and regional visual narratives
- PhD, MPhil, or Master's degree preferred, or extensive credible experience in the field will also be considered.
- Passion for visual storytelling and culturally grounded perspectives
- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
Your Role
- Create advanced prompts in Punjabi that challenge AI models
- Evaluate AI outputs for factual accuracy, visual literacy, cultural sensitivity, and narrative depth
- Identify blind spots where AI oversimplifies representation and visual meaning
- Collaborate with a global expert network shaping next-generation AI systems
