Job Profile

We are searching for an individual with a sound knowledge of the relevant Engineering discipline to join us as a Planning Engineer. The individual shall have the ability to anticipate problems and great attention to detail.

This role would suit a collaborative individual with good communication skills and has demonstrated leadership.

Main responsibilities include

  • Work Knowledge and skills
  • Knowledge in the understanding of all stages of planning i.e., pre-contract (Procurement) and post contract stages.
  • Preparation of integrated baseline schedule for the overall project
  • Knowledge in preparing resource loaded schedule.
  • Working experience in planning and scheduling for construction of manufacturing plants
  • Working knowledge in MS Project/ Primavera P6.
  • Conversant in all packages of Civil and MEP.
  • Pre-contract work
  • Prepare and monitor the design development stages wr.t to baseline schedule
  • Prepare and monitor the plan for all work packages and monitor the lead times.
  • Review the schedule proposed by various contractors/vendors and flag concerns.
  • Review the work packages and their ordering plan and escalate concerns if any
  • Post Contract work
  • Review of contractors monthly plan and commenting on the resource plan for its alignment.
  • Tracking of baseline plan of each of major vendors and flag potential delays.
  • Conducting and leading fortnightly/monthly meetings on progress and issues.
  • Maintain lessons learnt register and ensure knowledge sharing.
  • Support Project Manager and PMO team with preparing and responding contractual letters.
  • Documentation and MIS reporting
  • Keep all records of monthly project plan versus progress
  • Delay analysis reports
  • Flagging concerns on slippages and issues
  • Supporting the digital champion on risk register and monthly progress reports
  • Preparation of monthly project report with support from other members

The candidate must have

  • Experience of working in Industrial, Manufacturing, Production projects / similar project will be preferred.
  • In-depth technical skills related to planning, scheduling, monitoring and project controls in construction of industrial buildings.
  • Be a team player and good coordination with the team members.
  • Knowledge in the understanding site layout drawings, Engineering drawings, technical specifications, bill of materials
  • Conversant in all packages of Civil, Structural, Finishes and basic understanding of MEP services integration.
  • Working knowledge of project management best practices related Planning
  • Solid communication and team working skills.
  • Ability to navigate stressful work situations.
  • Experience on MS Project / Primavera
  • Any digital app-based application knowledge (if any)
  • Adept at MS Office applications
  • Preferrable criteria:
  • Experience in Glass Industries / Industry Buildings would be preferred.
  • Conversant in industrial long lead equipment packages

Minimum Qualification

  • Qualification: BE / BTech in Civil / Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: 4 to 7 years
  • Industry: Industrial buildings / Manufacturing / Production plants / Glass Industries
  • Functional Area: Project Management.
