Job Description Monitoring Tools Specialist (TSOM/BHOM) L3 Resource
We are looking for a Monitoring Tools Specialist with strong expertise in BMC TrueSight Operations Management (TSOM) and BMC Helix Operations Management (BHOM). The candidate should have hands-on experience in monitoring solutions, integrations, troubleshooting, and event management, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and manage TSOM/BHOM monitoring solutions
- Install and configure Patrol Agents using pconfig utilities
- Develop and maintain event management policies, thresholds, and authorization profiles
- Troubleshoot monitoring issues and perform root cause analysis
- Integrate monitoring tools with third-party monitoring and ticketing systems
- Document processes and configurations in MS Word and Excel
- Contribute to migration activities such as TSOM to BHOM
Must Have Skills
- Strong knowledge of TSOM/BHOM architecture
- Patrol Agent installation and configuration experience
- Understanding of Patrol and Sentry KMs
- Event management policies and threshold configuration
- Integration with third-party monitoring/ticketing tools
- Firewall access rule creation and monitoring prerequisites
- Proficiency in MS Excel (filters, pivots) and MS Word
- Basic email etiquette

- Python scripting and automation
- Kubernetes basics
- Grafana dashboards
- ITIL knowledge and certifications
- Intelligent Integration application and connector configuration experience
Great To Have Skills
- TSOM to BHOM migration experience
- JSON and API integration knowledge
- TSCO/BHCO administration, ETL configuration, and reporting
