Who should apply
We are not looking for content writers or casual food enthusiasts. We are looking for serious culinary experts who understand food as culture, history, language, and lived practice.
You should meet most or all of the following:
- Native fluency in Marathi (reading and writing)
- Strong command of English (for prompt interpretation and evaluation)
- Academic or professional background in one or more of the following:
- Varhadi, Konkan, Kolhapuri, Deshastha, and urban Maharashtrian cuisines
- Indian food history and culinary culture
- Hotel / restaurant management or professional culinary practice
- Gastronomy, food anthropology, or cultural studies
- Food journalism, food writing, or culinary research
- Deep familiarity with topics such as:
- Jowar, bajra, goda masala, coconut, peanuts, seasonal vegetables
- Ganesh Chaturthi modak traditions, fasting foods, festive thalis
- Home-style cooking, street food culture, and regional food expressions in Marathi
- PhD or Master's degree is preferred, but credible professional experience as a chef, culinary researcher, food historian, or respected food writer will also be considered
- Passion for accuracy, depth, and preserving culinary authenticity
- Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
Your Role
- Create culturally rich prompts in Marathi that challenge state-of-the-art AI models
- Evaluate AI outputs in Marathi for accuracy, cultural relevance, tone, and regional specificity
- Identify misinterpretations or oversimplifications that flatten diverse culinary traditions
- Contribute examples rooted in food history, market culture, household practices, and culinary language
- Collaborate with a global team to build AI that respects the depth and complexity of Indian cuisines
