Who should apply
We are not looking for general translators, freelancers, or content writers. We are seeking the top 1% of professionals deeply grounded in India's political and governance ecosystem, with strong understanding of political discourse and public affairs in the Malayalam context.
You should meet most or all of the following:
- Native fluency in Malayalam (reading and writing)
- Strong command of English (for prompt interpretation and evaluation)
- Deep academic, professional, or research expertise in Indian politics and public affairs, such as:
- Politics and governance of Kerala, including state-level policy debates and administrative structures
- Decentralisation, local governance, and civil society traditions in Kerala
- Political history and social movements in Kerala within the Indian context
- Public policy issues relevant to Kerala such as health, education, welfare, and social development
- Media, political journalism, and public discourse in Malayalam ecosystems
- PhD, MPhil, or Master's degree preferred; credible, extensive professional experience (policy professionals, political analysts, journalists, think-tank researchers, former civil servants, etc.) will also be considered
- Demonstrated commitment to balanced, rigorous, and informed understanding of public life
- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
Your Role
- Design advanced, context-rich prompts in Malayalam that challenge state-of-the-art AI models
- Evaluate model outputs for factual accuracy, neutrality, contextual depth, and sensitivity to India's political realities
- Identify blind spots where AI oversimplifies political systems, misrepresents governance structures, or misses regional nuance
- Contribute examples rooted in Indian public discourse, policy debates, media narratives, and civic life
- Collaborate with an international expert network shaping how AI understands politics, governance, and civic knowledge systems
