Job Description – Executive/Sr. Executive – Purchase Packing Formulations
A pharmaceutical packaging materials sourcing role manages the procurement of primary and secondary items like bottles, blisters, cartons, and foils. Key duties involve vendor qualification, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Procure primary and secondary packaging components (bottles, caps, blisters, cartons, labels, foils) ensuring uninterrupted plant operations.
- Vendor Management: Identify, audit, and qualify suppliers in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and global regulatory bodies.
- Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and payment terms to drive cost-saving initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Quality Assurance (QA), Packaging Development, and Production to validate material specifications and resolve supply bottlenecks.
- Risk Mitigation: Track inventory levels, develop backup vendors, and monitor supply chain continuity.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree. Preference with packaging diploma / Material management certification / Supply Chain Operations certification.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical procurement experience.
- Competencies: Strong understanding of cGMP regulations, vendor qualification processes, and enterprise tools like SAP. MS Office
