Build and implement growth strategies for Japan to meet annual revenue and profit targets.
Identify new business opportunities, forge strong partnerships with distributors, and grow existing customer accounts.
Lead and develop a team of business development and sales professionals with a strong performance and accountability culture.
Ensure quarterly and annual sales targets are met or exceeded through proactive business planning and execution.
Collaborate closely with internal teams including R&D, regulatory affairs, legal, and supply chain to ensure timely execution and customer satisfaction.
Establish a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
Maintain continuous engagement with clients and stakeholders to build long-term, trust-based relationships.
Lead pricing, budgeting, and forecasting activities in alignment with overall company goals.
Travel regularly to target markets for customer meetings, trade shows, and market assessments.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Business Administration.
Minimum 8years of progressive experience in international business development, sales and marketing in the API/pharmaceutical industry.
Strong understanding of the regulatory and commercial landscapes in Japan.
Proven ability to manage P&L, lead teams, and grow business in global markets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed organisation and manage multiple priorities
