Job Description

Business Development Manager

A fast-growing technological company specializing in industrial maintenance services,

including work at height and other hard-to-access locations in Steel and, heavy and

various other industries.

The scope of work covers the tallest chimneys, steep conveyors, bridges, bunkers and

other technological structures and buildings, confined spaces, equipment, vessels, etc.,

which often border on the impossible.

Services include turnkey solutions in inspection, repair, painting, sheeting, cleaning,

blasting, maintenance, and upkeep of concrete and steel structures through Rope

Access and UAVs.

SPS establishes a green energy vertical – Kraft Block focused on industrial waste heat

recovery, to reduce primary fuel use and cut COâ emissions.

record of over 2 lakh incident-free hours in 5 years.

The company has pioneered Rope access-based maintenance work at height in the Steel

Industry.

Clientele: Heavy manufacturing Industries, Steel and Power Industries viz., Tata Steel,

Tata Power, SAIL, JSW, RIL, Nayara Energy, Adani Green Energy, etc.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: ï

  • To identify, pursue, and secure target-based new business opportunities in

industrial maintenance services across India.

ï

  • The Executive will build and nurture client relationships, generate qualified leads

up to and including orders, and manage the complete sales cycle from inquiry to

closure.

ï

  • The Executive will support operations post-order during the mobilization process

to ensure a smooth transition from Sales to Operations.

ï

  • The Executive will be fully responsible for the collection of payments post execution of orders, including retention amounts after warranty periods.

ï

  • The Executive will also be responsible for sales operations such as vendor

registration, coordination with Finance & Accounts for SBLCs and PBGs, and with

HR for administrative compliance required for the release of payments.

ï

  • Additionally, the Executive will coordinate with safety for safety compliances

linked to inquiries and ROFRs (Right of First Refusal). The role includes preparing

costing, offers, follow-ups, site visits.

ï

  • The Executive will be fully accountable for resolving contractual issues arising out

of discrepancies in order clauses.

ï

  • They will be responsible for securing orders at profitable rates as directed by the

company and ensuring that business is secured only in the core USP areas of the

company, avoiding irrelevant sectors.

ï

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by Management based on

organizational needs.

Functional Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of industrial B2B

marketing and technical sales.

  • Strong communication in English &

Hindi, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Handle queries, preparing marketing

proposal and quotations and convert leads

into orders.

  • Familiarity with industrial plants and

safety norms (preferred).

  • Proficiency in market mapping,

competitor analysis, and business

intelligence gathering.

  • Identify and acquire B2B clients through

field visits and professional networking.

  • Candidate should have a strong rolodex

of industrial clients, particularly in

sectors having high-rise structures,

storage tanks, industrial chimneys,

coal towers, cooling towers,

conveyors, trestle structures, and gas

lines.

  • Proficient in Eproc, Ariba, GEM, other

clients billing and enquiry portals.

  • Hands-on experience in

selling/execution of industrial services

such as sheeting, welding, painting,

bolting, protective coatings, and

access solutions like Rope Access,

scaffolding, and man lifters.

  • Well-established contacts in

shipbuilding, dockyards, chemical &

fertilizer plants, power sectors,

petrochemical industries, and oil &

gas.

  • Proven track record in

generating/execution of business from

large-scale maintenance, inspection,

and infrastructure projects.

  • Experience in selling robotics,

automation, drones, and other

advanced industrial solutions and

services.

  • Experience in selling EPC projects. 14. Experience in selling renewable

products and waste-heat recovery

products.

MANAGERIAL SKILLS 1. Self-driven With Strong Time And

territory management capabilities

  • Ability to develop trust-based client

relationships and convert

them into business

  • Strong for market and product research and proactive lead generation

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT Extensive travel as per business needs.

MIN QUALIFICATION Graduate in Engineering / Science / Business Administration / Marketing
