Hiring for Automation Test Engineer - Bengaluru Location

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II QA with 69 years of experience in

manual and automation testing. The role focuses on validating APIs, user interfaces,

checkout systems, and endtoend workflows, while also driving automation coverage and

contributing to resilience validation across retail and transactional environments.

Key Responsibilities

API testing: Design and execute test cases for REST endpoints, payloads, error handling,

and integration flows.

UI testing: Perform functional, usability, accessibility, and crossbrowser testing for web

and mobile applications.

Checkout system validation: Test multiformat checkout flows, payment gateways,

discounts, and transaction integrity.

Endtoend testing: Validate customer and colleague journeys from login to order

completion, ensuring seamless flow.

Automation development: Build and maintain automated test suites for APIs, UI, and

checkout flows using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.

Regression suite ownership: Expand and maintain regression pipelines to ensure

evolving features are covered.

Resilience testing: Implement timeout handling, failfast scenarios, and fault injection

tests to validate system reliability.

Defect reporting & tracking: Log, prioritize, and track issues with clear reproduction

steps; collaborate with developers for resolution.

Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to align on

requirements and release quality.

Documentation: Maintain test artifacts, checklists, and contribute to QA knowledge

base.

Required Skills

Strong QA methodologies: Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect life cycle, and

test pyramid design.

API testing tools: Postman, Swagger, REST Assured, or equivalent.

UI automation frameworks: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.

Checkout/payment systems: Experience validating POS, payment gateways, and

transaction flows.

CI/CD integration: Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar pipelines.

Database validation: Strong SQL skills for backend data verification.

Containerized environments: Experience testing in Docker/Kubernetes setups.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in retail/ecommerce systems.

Performance testing exposure (JMeter, Gatling).

Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Strong documentation and reporting skills.
