Position- HIL and SIL Lead
Location- Hyderabad
Role Details
Experience- 8 to 10 years
- Lead SIL and HIL test strategy definition aligned with OEM V‑Model development lifecycle
- Own end‑to‑end integration testing of ECMs software across SIL, HIL, and system levels
- Define test scope, acceptance criteria, and validation metrics in collaboration with system, controls, and software teams
- Review system and software requirements for testability, traceability, and coverage
- Design, develop, and maintain plant and environment models using MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow
- Support closed‑loop SIL testing and real‑time HIL execution using dSPACE or equivalent platforms
- Validate models against actual machine / vehicle field data to ensure fidelity
- Drive model reuse, scalability, and performance optimization for future programs
- Architect and maintain automated test frameworks for SIL/HIL execution
- Develop and integrate unit and component tests using Google Test (GTest)
- Enable CI/CD pipelines for automated regression execution and reporting
- Support scripting and automation using Python, MATLAB scripts, C/C++
- Work with CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and J1939, Ethernet communication protocols
- Debug complex system issues involving hardware, software, and controls interactions
- Provide technical mentoring to SIL/HIL engineers and test teams
- Coordinate with global cross‑functional teams
- Lead test reviews, defect triage, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action discussions
- Report test status, risks, and quality metrics to program and customer leadership
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience in SIL/HIL testing, embedded systems validation, or system integration
- Prior experience in OEM or Tier‑1 automotive/off‑highway programs is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle/machine networks, diagnostics, and calibration workflows
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Experience supporting global programs with offshore–onsite delivery models
- MATLAB / Simulink / Stateflow / Simscape (plant & control modeling)
- SIL & HIL testing methodologies in OEM environments
- Google Test (GTest) for C/C++‑based unit and integration testing dSPACE HIL systems (ControlDesk, RTI, Bus Manager) or similar HIL platforms
- Embedded C/C++, Python, MATLAB scripting
- CAN, LIN, FlexRay, J1939, Ethernet communication stacks
- Strong technical leadership and decision‑making ability
- Excellent communication skills for customer and management interactions
- Ability to translate system requirements into test strategies
- Structured problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis mindset
