As a Hedge Fund Due Diligence analyst in the Hedge Fund Due Diligence team in Mumbai, you will be responsible for ongoing monitoring, sourcing and underwriting, while partnering closely with senior researchers, portfolio managers, specialists, structuring, and due diligence teams.
Job responsibilities
- You will support the data maintenance as well as analytical aspects in sourcing, underwriting, and monitoring of hedge funds, including analysis of fund performance and investments.
- Provide analytical and data support to comprehensively underwrite new investments using qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Support senior researchers in evaluation of potential hedge fund investments and monitor existing investments across various financial and investment topics, such as portfolio construction, liquidity, options, and risk management.
- Maintain and analyze both recurring and bespoke data related to hedge funds. Create annual fund decks with deep dives into performance and attributions
- Develop strong relationships with Specialists, Structuring, Portfolio Managers, Operational Due Diligence, and Asset Class Leaders.
- Represent the Private Bank and JPMAAM within the organization with professionalism and expertise.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and interpersonal skills in a collaborative environment.
- Utilize strong quantitative and analytical abilities to support investment decisions.
- Communicate effectively through written and verbal presentation skills.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- At least 2 years of relevant investment experience.
- Exposure to hedge fund investments with functional expertise in either cross-asset/ fixed income/ equities.
- Working knowledge of different investment products not limited to mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, structured products etc.
- Exposure to either Risk, Attribution, Performance, Research or any other Investment management analytical function .
- Exposure to market data tools like Bloomberg, FactSet, and Morningstar etc.
- Strong quantitative/analytical abilities as well as written/verbal presentation skills.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Master's Degree in Finance/Accounting or Graduate Degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, engineering, etc.
- Certification like CFA ,CIPM, FRM preferred
