Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Design Engineer to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in HVAC design and will be responsible for leading and executing HVAC projects from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the HVAC design process for various projects.
- Perform heat load calculations using HAP (Hourly Analysis Program) or Excel.
- Ensure all designs comply with NBC, ASHRAE, and ISHRAE standards and regulations.
- Develop detailed HVAC designs, including duct, chilled-water, and VRF systems.
- Create 2D schematics and technical drawings.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and technical specifications.
- Manage RFI (Request for Information) and approval processes.
- Conduct on-site monitoring to ensure project execution aligns with design specifications.
- Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience of 5-8 years in HVAC design.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software, including HAP.
- Strong knowledge of NBC, ASHRAE, and ISHRAE codes and standards.
- Expertise in space planning and HVAC system layout.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
