Health, Safety, and Environment Specialist

As a Health, Safety, and Environment, you will be responsible for:

• Support the Operation Team with ensuring the full implementation and consistent execution of the Baker Hughes (EHS) programs and ensure compliance all applicable regulations.
• Work closely with manufacturing, facilities, and other teams to provide EHS support, mentoring, and engagement.
• Coordinate the closure of all findings and observations from audits and inspections.
• Participate on accident investigation.
• Conduct internal EHS inspections (i.e., hazardous waste areas, housekeeping, emergency response equipment, etc.)
• Provide general administrative and record-keeping support for all related regulatory records.
• Maintain EHS equipment and associated documentation requirements (e.g. Training records, injury logs, waste manifests, etc.)
• Ensure data accuracy and on time tracking and submission of HSE metrics and reports

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Master Industrial Safety and Engineering from an accredited university OR bachelor's degree with NEBOSH certification
• Have 3 -5 years of experience in Environmental Health Safety.
• Have a Manufacturing, Oil Gas background
• Have an exposure in ISO standards
• Have an experience in working on Legal requirements
• Have a technical knowledge and understanding of EHS-related laws and regulations.
• Have an excellent oral and written communication skills (including Tamil (local language))
• Have an ability to influence others and lead small teams.
• Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
• Have an ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Have an effective problem identification and solution skills.
