Headless Shopify Hydrogen Developer (Remote, India)

Poly & Bark is a fast-growing DTC furniture brand running a headless storefront built on Shopify Hydrogen. We're hiring one developer with real, hands-on Hydrogen experience — not Shopify theme/Liquid work, not general React, specifically Hydrogen.

Please read before applying:

This role requires direct, production experience with Shopify's Hydrogen framework — the React/Remix-based headless storefront stack (Storefront API, Hydrogen's data-loading and caching patterns, Oxygen deployment). If you have not personally built or shipped a Hydrogen storefront, this is not the right role for you, and we'd ask that you not apply — we won't be able to move forward regardless of your other qualifications, and we'd rather save you the time.

If you're coming from standard Shopify Liquid theme development, general React/Next.js work, or other headless commerce platforms — genuinely strong backgrounds, just not what this specific role needs right now.

What you'll actually be doing: Owning and extending our live Hydrogen storefront — building components, working with the Storefront API, handling caching/edge behavior on Oxygen, and making sure the site performs and functions correctly in production, not just in a demo.

What we need to see from you:

• A real Hydrogen project you've built or contributed to — a live link, a repo, or both
• Comfort with Shopify's Storefront API and Admin API
• An understanding of Hydrogen's specific rendering/caching model (this is not the same as a typical React app)
