Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the Natural Resources business unit's operational goals and strategic initiatives.
  • Design and deliver technical and managerial training programs to enhance workforce capabilities in areas such as integrated coal management, mining operations, and supply chain logistics.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify skill gaps and create targeted learning solutions to address current and future workforce needs.
  • Leverage digital tools and platforms to implement innovative training methodologies, including e-learning, virtual simulations, and on-the-job training modules.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Build and lead a high-performing training team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
  • Partner with external training providers, industry experts, and academic institutions to bring best practices and cutting-edge knowledge to the organization.
  • Ensure seamless integration of training initiatives with the business unit's operational processes and performance metrics.
  • Drive leadership development programs to build a robust pipeline of future leaders within the Natural Resources vertical.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure training programs remain relevant and impactful.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record of 20+ years in training delivery, workforce development, or a related field, with significant experience in the natural resources or mining sector.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing large-scale training programs for technical and managerial roles.
  • Strong background in workforce planning, competency mapping, and leadership development.

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related discipline is preferred.

Years & Type Of Experience

  • 20+ years of experience in training delivery, with a focus on technical and managerial skill development in the natural resources or mining industry.
  • Demonstrated success in leading training teams and driving measurable improvements in workforce performance.
