Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Head – Costing to lead our Tendering Costing, Estimation and function. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in electrical panelcosting, pricing, tender management, commercial evaluation, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Costing Process Oversight

• Oversee the end-to-end costing and estimation process, from initial opportunity assessment through proposal submission and post-offer analysis.
• Ensure all offer submissions are technically robust, commercially competitive, and compliant with relevant standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Implement best practices and standardized procedures to improve costing efficiency and win rates.

2. Cross-Functional Team Coordination

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Finance, and Quality Assurance teams to gather inputs for accurate costing, risk analysis, and technical feasibility.
• Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, including suppliers and clients, during the tender process.
• Participate in pre-offer meetings and presentations to understand customer requirements and build strong business relationships.

3. Costing, Pricing & Risk Management

• Lead the development of detailed cost estimates, pricing models, and risk assessments for each tender.
• Ensure proposals meet profitability targets.
• Identify technical, financial, and schedule-related risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Oversee negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable commercial terms and enhance competitive positioning.

4. Costing Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Tendering, Costing & Estimation team.
• Set clear goals and KPIs for the tendering department.
• Monitor team performance and implement process improvements.

Candidate Profile

• Strong experience in Electrical Panel Manufacturing / Switchgear industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of costing, estimation, tendering and pricing.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good decision-making and negotiation skills.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
