The program is a blend of the world-renowned Finnish curriculum, international pedagogical approaches, and Finnish technology localised for India to provide high quality early childhood education. We support each child's learning, social and emotional development, and wellbeing in cooperation with his or her family.

As we are opening our preschool in Kanpur we are looking for a Preschool Co-ordinator to collaborate in running the preschool located in Kanpur

Position Summary:

As a head teacher, you will be working collaboratively with Finland Education Hub in leading the implementation and training of Lil Bo Peep Early Years Program in the preschool.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities

Demonstrate strategic and futures thinking to ensure the school is focused on providing leading edge learning experiences

Plan and prepare all documentation and material needed to start and/or run the kindergarten

Liaise with relevant authorities to prepare, get and maintain approval for the daycare

Recruit and lead a team of teachers to create a fun, engaging experience for the children according to our Exploration philosophy and guidelines.

Collaborate to create a school budget

Order all required material and resources as and when needed

Keep accurate records of all sources of evidence and areas of school operations

Closely collaborate with preschool owner and Finland Education Hub on relevant matters of school operation

Pedagogical Responsibilities

Support your team in maintaining all-round excellence through visibility, pedagogical leadership, and constructive feedback

Ensure that all teaching, learning, and student data is accurate and up-to date

Take responsibility for and lead the curriculum review process

Provide or arrange for ongoing professional development for staff

Create pedagogical development opportunities and activities for family engagement

Qualifications

Hold an educational qualification at a Bachelor's degree level, preferably in early years education

Have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a leadership role in early years education and a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in International preschools.

Have an established record demonstrating resilience, flexibility, collaboration, and creativity

Excellent language abilities in the language of instruction and main local language (where English is not the local language)

Knowledge of:

oChild safety and protection practices

oAge-appropriate psychological and social/emotional needs of children

oResearch-supported instructional techniques.

oA range of assessment strategies and learning activities.

Ability to:

oCollaboratively plan and manage multiple preps

owork with a culturally and linguistically diverse student body.

oEstablish and maintain positive, respectful relationships with students, school staff, families and the surrounding community.

Good to have:

Knowledge of International preschool education especially Finnish Early childhood education is an asset

Experience as a part of the implementation team in an International Franchise/Preschool

Master's Degree in Education
