We are hiring a Head – Supply Chain for a leading FMCG / Food Manufacturing organization in Zambia.

Location: Lusaka, Zambia

Position: Head – Supply Chain

Experience: 15+ Years

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supply chain operations covering procurement, imports, warehousing, logistics and distribution.
• Manage procurement of raw materials, flexible packaging, MRO items and manufacturing spares.
• Handle imports/exports, customs, freight forwarders and third-party logistics partners.
• Coordinate demand planning, production requirements and customer fulfilment.
• Drive inventory optimisation, warehouse utilisation and cost reduction.
• Use SAP for demand flow, inventory analysis and supply chain planning.
• Implement lean manufacturing and throughput optimisation initiatives.
• Develop and improve warehouse, distribution and logistics solutions.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Planning, Quality, Maintenance and Customer Logistics teams.
• Lead teams, improve operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements:

15+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain / Procurement / Logistics / MRO or related functions

Strong experience in manufacturing / FMCG / food manufacturing environments

Hands-on experience in imports & exports, customs and freight forwarding

Strong knowledge of inventory optimization and lean manufacturing

SAP experience

Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills

Ability to manage cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders

Zambia experience is compulsory

Strong understanding of the Zambian supply-chain, logistics and business environment
