JOB DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent is a senior leader and will accelerate ANI growth through a dual mandate:
Own and deliver high-impact India Acceleration initiatives end-to-end-from problem definition and solution design to execution and impact realization-working closely with India commercial leadership and cross-functional teams and Lead Frontier Markets (Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, etc) Strategy, program governance, and Marketing to drive sustainable growth.
The role will establish a metrics-led execution cadence, drive cross-functional delivery, and ensure initiatives translate into measurable improvements in sales, margin, distribution, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
1) India Acceleration Strategy - Program & Work track Ownership
- Own and deliver assigned India Acceleration work tracks end-to-end: problem framing, initiative design, business case, execution roadmap, and impact realization.
- Build and run a work track PMO cadence (periodic actions, milestone tracking, risk/issue logs, decision requests) and ensure timely escalation/de-bottlenecking.
- Define and track leading and lagging indicators, establishing predictive metrics that signal performance and trigger interventions early.
- Closely monitor revenue, margin, growth, reach, KPIs and engagement measures aligned to the acceleration plan convert insight into corrective action with clear ownership.
- Partner with commercial functions to identify gaps and implement plans to close sales and execution gaps (coverage, conversion, assortment, availability, visibility).
- Drive cross-functional alignment across Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR, and Regulatory to deliver the work track outcomes.
- Prepare leadership-ready updates and decision materials for governance forums and senior stakeholders.
Examples of typical work tracks: margin optimization, portfolio/format/functional enhancement, sales acceleration programs, strategic deals, governance model/operating rhythm improvements, channel/geography expansion.
2) Lead the Acceleration & Marketing for Frontier Markets (Bangladesh / Nepal / Sri Lanka)
- Own the frontier markets acceleration plan and performance rhythm to deliver committed growth outcomes.
- Establish KPIs and dashboards track sales, margins, growth, reach/distribution run corrective actions with market teams and partners.
- Own market-by-market strategy for Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka: segmentation, positioning, messaging, annual brand plans.
- Lead portfolio and pack-price architecture choices aligned to local affordability and channel economics.
- Own the integrated marketing calendar: consumer campaigns, trade activation, digital/performance where relevant.
- Build a robust insight engine (competition, pricing, claims, channel dynamics) and translate into GTM actions.
- Act as the bridge between India marketing, regional marketing, and frontier commercial teams.
3) Strategic Project Management (Transformation PMO - India + Frontier Markets)
- Identify and drive transformation initiatives based on business priorities execute high-impact projects critical to growth (e.g., margin optimization, sales acceleration, strategic deals).
- Lead cross-functional execution across Commercial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, and Regulatory to deliver results.
- Own end-to-end project delivery: design, roadmap, risk management, de-bottlenecking, escalation, and leadership communication.
- Bring best practices and internal/external insights into initiative design and execution.
- Provide crisp updates and decision material for leadership governance forums prepare exec-ready communication when needed.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams, as needed
Skills & Competencies
- Strong business acumen with financial understanding ability to connect strategy + marketing to P&L outcomes.
- Strong problem solving, analytics, and executive synthesis clear communication and presence.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a matrix and deliver outcomes with pace.
- Marketing leadership depth: brand/portfolio, GTM, trade/channel programs, measurement/ROI mindset.
Experience & Education
- 10-15+ years experience across strategy/PMO
- MBA from a reputable institute, preferably with experience in a top tier firm, typically in management consulting or strategy.
- Strong exposure to market research, analytics, and commercial performance management.
