Hiring: Head – Solar & BESS EPC Design

Location: Chennai / Ahmedabad (with project site travel)
We are seeking an experienced Head – Solar & BESS EPC Design to lead the engineering and design of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from concept through construction support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering for Solar PV, BESS, pooling substations, and evacuation systems.
- Oversee civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and protection & control design.
- Review and approve layouts, SLDs, equipment specifications, design calculations, and construction drawings.
- Drive design optimization, standardization, value engineering, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Coordinate with project execution, procurement, OEMs, consultants, utilities, and clients to ensure timely engineering deliverables.
- Provide technical leadership during tendering, project execution, commissioning, and design issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience in engineering and design of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS EPC projects.
- Strong expertise in grid interconnection, substations, transmission systems, design management, and engineering standards.
- Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex renewable energy projects.
