Role Description The Head SCADA Commissioning role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. This role is responsible for leading SCADA commissioning activities for renewable energy power plants, including planning, coordination, and execution of system tests and validations. Daily tasks include supervising commissioning teams, reviewing engineering documents, configuring and testing SCADA and PPC systems, and ensuring grid code and cybersecurity compliance. The position involves close collaboration with project managers, design engineers, and client representatives to resolve technical issues, manage timelines, and support successful project handover. The Head SCADA Commissioning also drives continuous improvement in commissioning standards, documentation, and best practices across projects.
Qualifications

• Program Management and Budgeting skills to plan, execute, and control SCADA commissioning projects within scope, time, and cost constraints.
• Team Management and Communication skills to lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and present technical information clearly.
• Analytical Skills to diagnose system issues, interpret data from SCADA and PPC systems, and optimize performance and reliability.
• Strong technical background in SCADA systems, power plant automation, and protocols such as IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, and MQTT.
• Experience with commissioning of solar, wind, or hybrid power plants, including grid code compliance, BESS integration, and industrial cybersecurity practices.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related field.
• Ability to work on-site at project locations as needed, with a focus on safety, quality, and documentation standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting single-line diagrams, communication architectures, and control logic; familiarity with SCADA/HMI configuration tools is an advantage.
