Location: Thane (Hybrid) / Remote
Job Summary
An opportunity for an experienced Publications leader to drive high-quality scientific communications delivery, lead large teams, and manage client engagements. The role combines functional expertise, people leadership, and business growth, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and process excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Delivery & Quality Excellence
- Lead publications teams to deliver high-quality scientific documents
- Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and compliance
- Conduct robust review and quality checks across deliverables
2. Team & People Leadership
- Manage Team Leads and large teams to drive productivity and efficiency
- Coach, mentor, and build capability across functional and leadership levels
- Drive hiring, retention, and succession planning
3. Operations & Process Excellence
- Monitor project metrics, utilization, and delivery performance
- Identify gaps and implement CAPA, process improvements, and training interventions
- Drive automation and efficiency initiatives
4. Client & Stakeholder Management
- Engage with clients to understand processes, governance, and expectations
- Partner with Account/Alliance teams to strengthen relationships
- Ensure effective communication and escalation management
5. Business Growth & Account Management
- Own revenue, billing, forecasting, and budget for assigned accounts
- Drive account growth through farming and cross-selling
- Support business development through client mapping and opportunity identification
Key Requirements
- 15+ years of strong experience in scientific publications/medical writing leadership
- Proven track record in team management, client engagement, and delivery excellence
- Experience in account management and business development
- Strong understanding of process improvement, quality frameworks, and compliance
