Head - Production | Manufacturing / Heavy Engineering

We are hiring a Head - Production for a leading, professionally managed manufacturing organization in the oils & fats process equipment / heavy machinery / fabrication space. The role will lead end-to-end production operations for an engineering plant, ensuring timely delivery, optimum resource utilization, cost control, quality compliance, safety, and overall plant performance.

Location: Manor, Maharashtra
Reporting to: CEO
Function: Production / Manufacturing Operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead production planning and execution across fabrication, machine shop, and equipment manufacturing.
• Drive monthly production targets, rolling plans, cost efficiency, quality, and delivery commitments.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, raw materials, electricity, and other plant resources.
• Monitor productivity, overtime, consumables, tools, manpower utilization, and factory costs.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance planning, shutdown schedules, and machinery upkeep.
• Ensure adherence to ISO, QMS, QAP, ASME, factory compliance, and safety standards.
• Build and maintain SOPs, improve production systems, and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead production teams, strengthen engagement, and build a high-performance shop-floor culture.
• Identify outsourcing / job-work opportunities to augment in-house capacity cost-effectively.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• 15+ years of experience in sheet metal, fabrication, heavy machinery, or equipment manufacturing.
• At least 5 years in senior-level management handling fabrication and machine shop operations.
• Strong exposure to contract labour, outsourcing, job work, project management, and production systems.
• Hands-on, result-oriented leader with strong people management skills.
• Qualification: BE Mechanical / Production / Oil Technology.
• Additional qualification in Business Management / Operations Management will be an advantage.
