Position: Production 10-15 Years
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Head to lead end-to-end manufacturing and assembly operations for our plant in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CNC operations, production planning, manpower management, productivity improvement, and shop-floor execution within a high volume manufacturing environment.
Key Lead overall production and assembly operations to achieve business targets related to quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
- Manage CNC machining and assembly lines with focus on productivity, efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Drive production planning, scheduling, and resource utilization to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as OEE, rejection rates, downtime, and throughput.
- Handle manpower planning, shift management, workforce productivity, and team development.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards across the manufacturing unit.
- Coordinate with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams for seamless plant operations.
- Implement lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production-related challenges.
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency initiatives.
Desired Candidate Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related discipline.
- 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing/production operations, preferably in automotive or engineering industries.
- Strong exposure to assembly operations and CNC machining processes.
- Proven experience in handling large shop-floor teams and multi-shift operations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies is preferred.
