Head, Product Management (Great Eastern Takaful Berhad)

About the Job

The Head of Product Management is reporting to the Head of Marketing and is responsible for management and development of Takaful products that support company growth. This role will manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• To lead on developing product strategies, marketing and sales proposition for various distribution channels.
• To lead on developing new products structure, benefits and features.
• To plan and coordinate end-to-end new product development activities, ensure the processes are taken care of for the new products to be delivered within the time frame.
• To ensure necessary approvals are obtained prior to new product launch.
• To plan, coordinate and execute customer campaigns and other projects related to product management within the given deadlines.
• To ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory rules & guidelines, product policy, standard of good practice and Shariah.
• To lead on providing regular and periodic reporting and updates to management team and other stakeholders including regulators.
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

We are looking for people who

• Must be a formal degree holder or higher. Degree in Actuarial Science or other professional qualification(s) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years working experience in insurance or takaful industry is a requirement. Experience in Product or Actuarial is an added advantage.
• Key Competencies e.g. leadership, strong analytical and problem solving, interpersonal skills, job functional knowledge.
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
