Position: Head PMO, Abbott EPD
The Head PMO, EPD India serves as a strategic integrator, execution leader, and governance anchor for the EPD India region. The role combines:

The role ensures that the VP's priorities are translated into wellu2011designed initiatives, executed with discipline, tracked transparently, and delivered through strong crossu2011functional collaboration across Abbott's India affiliates (AIL, APC, ASC) as well as the support functions.
Core Job Responsibilities
1. Strategic Enablement of the VP, EPD India
- Act as a trusted thought partner to the VP on strategy, business priorities, and organizational effectiveness
- Support shaping of shortu2011term and longu2011term strategic agendas for EPD India
- Prepare executiveu2011level insights, analyses, and recommendations for leadership forums
- Help the VP focus on the most valueu2011creating priorities, filtering noise and driving clarity
- Drive execution and follow-up across aligned priorities with the working teams
2. Strategy, Transformation & Special Initiatives
- Identify, design, and lead highu2011impact strategic and transformation projects across EPD India
- Translate strategic themes into structured initiatives with clear problem statements, milestones, owners, and success metrics
- Bring in best practices and external perspectives (pharma peers, adjacent industries, consulting frameworks)
- Own endu2011tou2011end delivery of select VPu2011 and leadershipu2011sponsored initiatives
3. PMO Leadership & Execution Rigor
- Act as a central PMO anchor for the VP's priority initiatives to drive:
- Project structuring
- Workplans
- Clear milestones and dependencies
- Follow-up to drive results and actions
- Navigating through the organization u2013 across business and support functions
- Risk identification and mitigation
- Ensure cadenced tracking, disciplined followu2011ups, and deu2011bottlenecking
- Proactively escalate risks and issues with clear options and mitigation plans
- Bring consistency, rigor, and transparency to how projects are executed across affiliates
4. Crossu2011Functional & Affiliate Leadership
- Lead and influence crossu2011functional teams spanning:
- Commercial u2013 Sales and Marketing
- Manufacturing, supply chain and Quality
- Finance
- HR
- I&D
- Regulatory & compliance
- Government Affairs and Legal
- Influence without authority build alignment through logic, data, and credibility
5. Performance Management, Governance & Cadence
- Own the operating cadence of the VP's office:
- Business reviews
- Transformation scorecards
- Leadership meeting agendas and outputs
- Track commitments against plans and ensuring accountability
- Support governance forums with structured decision documents and preu2011reads
- Ensure leadership discussions convert into clear actions and ownership
6. Competitive Intelligence & External Benchmarking
- Regularly monitor competitive, market, regulatory, and portfolio shifts
- Assess implications for:
- Business performance
- Portfolio health
- Execution priorities
- Support identification of new transformation opportunities based on evolving business needs
7. Leadership & Stakeholder Integration
- Act as a bridge between the VP and the EPD India leadership team
- Help align leaders on priorities, sequencing, and tradeu2011offs
- Enable faster, better decisionu2011making by improving context, clarity, and execution discipline
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and judgment
Minimum Education
- Graduate from a reputed institute MBA from a reputed institute highly preferred
Minimum Experience/Training Required
- 8-10 years of total experience 2-3 years in management consulting with a top-tier firm is preferred
- Prior experience in driving strategic projects and cross functional teams
- Prior experience in India pharma industry preferred
