Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Head Physiotherapist based in Navi Mumbai. The Head Physiotherapist will oversee the delivery of high-quality physiotherapy treatments aligned with the clinic's Ayurvedic and modern practices. Responsibilities include assessing patients physical conditions, developing personalized therapy plans, supervising a team of physiotherapists, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols. Regular documentation of patient progress and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize treatment outcomes are also essential to this role.

Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients physical conditions, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized physiotherapy treatment plans based on clinical evaluation and patient goals.
  • Deliver hands-on physiotherapy treatments including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, electrotherapy, and therapeutic exercise prescription.
  • Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and modify treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, posture correction, ergonomics, and self-management strategies.
  • Work with diverse patient populations including orthopedic, geriatric, pediatric, and post-operative cases.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems in compliance with clinical and legal standards.
  • Ensure patient safety, hygiene, and adherence to clinical protocols at all times.
Team & Leadership Responsibilities
  • Handle and supervise the physiotherapy team at Parasnath Clinic.
  • Provide clinical guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training to junior physiotherapists and interns.
  • Review treatment plans and clinical outcomes of junior staff to maintain quality standards.
  • Support scheduling, workload management, and coordination within the physiotherapy department.
  • Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordination & Care Planning
  • Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care.
  • Assist in discharge planning and continuity of care, including home exercise programs and follow-up plans.
  • Support inpatient, outpatient, and home-care physiotherapy services as required.

Required Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics relevant to physiotherapy practice.
  • Proven expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques.
  • Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and acute care physiotherapy settings.
  • Knowledge of discharge planning and patient transition processes.
  • Familiarity with home and community-based physiotherapy care.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and clinical documentation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.
  • Ability to lead, train, and motivate junior physiotherapists.
  • Compassionate, ethical, and patient-focused approach to care.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy (BPT / MPT).
  • Valid registration with the relevant physiotherapy council.
  • Previous hospital or clinical experience preferred.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
