Amazon Last Mile India (LM) Operations Last Mile relies on a large and diverse network of Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) and Extended DSPs, Hub stores, Quick Commerce stores, and Flex Delivery Partners who work relentlessly to meet our customers expectations across a complex and rapidly evolving environment.

TRC is looking for an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join us as the Head of TRC Field Operations for LM IN. In this role, they will own, develop, manage, and execute IN LM audit and monitoring (A&M) strategy and roadmap end-to-end, including enforcement governance, regulatory change readiness, driving scalable risk detection across these existing and emerging delivery channels, and tracking and enhancing partner experience. Our audits ensure LM carrier partners compliance against both contractual and legal requirements and drive a culture of compliance both internally and externally. They will lead a team of Field Auditors (Risk Managers) assessing our transportation programs and models for potential compliance risks and working to remediate. As Amazon is continuously developing new transportation models, they will work with transportation business leaders to proactively identify compliance regulatory business opportunities and risks and propose innovative approaches and risk mitigation strategies for solving them. In this highly visible role, working closely with Amazon's transportation leaders, country leaders, operations, legal, HR compliance, regulatory affairs, public policy, Tech and global TRC teams, they will apply their knowledge of operations and internal controls to a diverse set of risk areas. This leader will leverage the knowledge from these engagements, as well as existing and planned regulations to create and influence Amazon transportation policies and audit programs. They will influence risk and A&M strategies at a regional and global level.

This position will require a broad set of skills that will range from high level strategic thinking to deep-dive analytical problem solving, with exceptional attention to detail and strong data-driven mindset and capabilities. High judgment and effective decision-making is important for this role. The position will require excellent soft skills to earn the trust of their stakeholders and partners, whether within or outside of Amazon. They must be an excellent writer who can succinctly communicate complicated issues in business terms and deliver compelling narratives that leverage data so that leaders and partners can take risk-based, informed decisions. They must be a strong program manager who can manage variable resources and conduct audits from beginning to end, often managing multiple projects at once. The successful candidate will display excellent team spirit and autonomy, with the highest level of integrity.

Key job responsibilities
. Growing and evolving the IN Last Mile TRC A&M strategy, customized for IN LM transportation business model.
. Working collaboratively and transparently with senior business and operations leaders across 5+ delivery channels (DSP/EDSP, GSF, Hub, Flex, Quick Commerce, etc.), and cross functionally with Legal, HR Compliance, Public Policy, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Tech and Global TRC teams to ensure alignment between core business priorities and transportation compliance priorities.
. Developing and leading the end-to-end A&M programs from risk identification to executive reporting, including aligning remediation and / or enforcement mechanisms.
. Developing a working knowledge of the operational processes and controls in place that support all compliance programs.
. Assist with linking policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, monitoring, and reporting with the goal of improving operations, compliance policies, and risk management.
. Managing and/or coordinating high-complexity escalations, from both internal and external sources, and share findings and recommendations with senior leadership.
. Lead a team of field auditors, supporting their career growth, prioritization and planning, goal setting and day-to-day activities
. Seeking opportunities and anticipating challenges/obstacles our transportation business could face as the global business and regulatory landscape evolves.
. Communicating project issues and statuses in a concise, accurate, and professional manner to business partners and senior management, including highest-standards risk and business-review reports.
. Drive continuous process improvements, leveraging Artificial Intelligence and/or automation solutions that ensure scalability and improved risk detection.

A day in the life
The Senior Risk Manager will work collaboratively with business stakeholders, legal, HR compliance, public policy, tech, and global TRC teams, to implement world-class, customer-centric, compliance and risk management solutions. The individual leads and develops a team of auditors who execute inspection activities, provide carriers with consultative support to identify opportunities for improvement, develop corrective action plans to address audit defects, and manage those remediation plans to closure. The Senior Risk Manager executes using a broad set of skills that range from high-level strategic thinking to deep dive analytical problem solving. The individual exemplifies high judgment, effective decision-making, innovative thinking and a strong customer focus, along with excellent writing skills, succinctly communicating complicated issues in compelling business terms.

Basic Qualifications

- 10+ years of risk management, audit, legal, compliance or related field work including engaging with external stakeholders experience
- 7+ years of team management with 5 or more direct reports experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service and experience in managing and troublshooting network
- 10+ years of team leadership experience
- Experience influencing senior leaders/stakeholders
- Outstanding communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies
- Experience with audit or risk program design, control environment process documentation, and control mapping
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Working knowledge of IN transport and contractual laws and regulations (e.g. gig workforce, labor compliance).
