Job Description: Head of Department (HOD) - BBA
Inspiria Knowledge Campus, Siliguri

Job Summary
Dynamic academic leader required to drive BBA program excellence through innovative curriculum design, faculty development, industry partnerships, and student employability enhancement. Focus on emerging business domains including AI-driven analytics, digital transformation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

Qualifications Required

Essential:

  • PhD in Management/Business Administration (or pursuing final stages)

  • First-Class Master's degree (MBA/PGDM with minimum 55% marks from AICTE-approved institution)

Desirable:

  • NET/SLET/SET qualification

  • NAAC/AICTE assessor experience

  • Industry certification in Data Analytics/Business Intelligence

Experience
  • Minimum 10+ years in teaching/research/industry

  • At least 5 years at Associate Professor level or equivalent

  • Proven academic leadership in department/program management

  • Track record of curriculum innovation and industry collaborations

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 12-14 teaching hours weekly across core BBA subjects

  • Design outcome-based curriculum integrating case studies, live projects, and emerging trends (AI, fintech, sustainability)

  • Oversee faculty workloads, mentoring, and professional development programs

  • Manage department operations: scheduling, budgeting, performance appraisals

  • Build strategic industry partnerships for internships, placements, and guest lectures

  • Drive research culture, publications, and accreditation readiness (NAAC 3.0 compliance)

  • Organize workshops, seminars, and industry immersion programs

  • Ensure student mentoring, career guidance, and placement outcomes (>85% placement rate target)

  • Handle administrative duties: exams, events, compliance reporting, LMS implementation

Technical & Professional Skills

Core Technical Skills:

  • Advanced MS Office Suite (Excel pivot tables, VBA macros)

  • Learning Management Systems (Moodle/Canvas/Google Classroom)

  • ERP systems and academic management software

  • Business analytics tools: Advanced Excel, SPSS, Tableau/Power BI basics

  • AI tools for education: ChatGPT integration, Grammarly Enterprise, Canva Pro

Modern Business Domain Expertise:

  • Digital marketing, SEO, social media analytics

  • Business intelligence and data visualisation

  • Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework implementation

  • Sustainability and ESG reporting knowledge
