Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Supply Chain & Procurement to own and scale Fabheads sourcing ecosystem. This role demands strong expertise in strategic procurement, supplier development, and cost leadership in high-precision and regulated environments.
You will lead sourcing strategy, vendor networks, and supply continuity across both R&D and production programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Define and drive long-term sourcing strategy for raw materials, electronics, and precision mechanical parts.
- Lead global and domestic supplier onboarding for A&D-grade quality standards.
- Establish long-term contracts and strategic vendor partnerships.
- Drive cost optimization through make-vs-buy, vendor consolidation, and value engineering.
- Manage complex BOM-based sourcing for robotics and automation programs.
Vendor Development
- Build and manage a global supplier ecosystem (India, Asia, EU, US).
- Qualify vendors on capability, certification, and compliance (AS9100 / ISO).
- Lead commercial and technical negotiations.
- Enforce supplier accountability on quality and delivery.
Supply Chain Governance
- Implement risk mitigation strategies (dual sourcing, long-lead planning).
- Forecast demand, lead times, and cost impact using data-driven methods.
Inventory & Logistics
- Own the full procurement lifecycle: RFQ to payment.
- Manage imports, logistics, and trade compliance.
- Optimize inventory and working capital.
- Implement ERP-driven traceability and planning processes.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Engineering, Production, QA, and Finance.
- Guide leadership on sourcing risks and readiness.
- Build and lead a high-performance supply chain team.
Required Skills & Experience
- 710 years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership roles.
- Expertise in electronics, PCBs, sensors, mechanical parts, and raw materials.
- Experience in A&D, robotics, EV, or precision engineering industries.
- Strong understanding of supplier audits, qualification, and compliance.
- Proven negotiation and vendor development skills.
- Experience in global sourcing and import/export operations.
- Hands-on ERP experience and analytical mindset.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred
- Experience building procurement systems from the ground up.
- Knowledge of composites, machining, and electronics manufacturing.
- Exposure to multi-location sourcing operations.
