Role Purpose
The Corporate Strategy role is responsible for supporting enterprise-level strategic planning, growth initiatives, and long-term value creation. The incumbent will work closely with executive leadership and business heads to drive strategy formulation, market intelligence, inorganic growth assessments, and execution governance across business units.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Formulation & Planning
- Support annual and long-range strategic planning cycles, including 3-5 years business plans
- Translate corporate vision into actionable strategic initiatives across business units
- Drive enterprise-wide priorities such as growth platforms, digital transformation, and margin improvement
- Develop strategic frameworks, business cases, and decision-support material for leadership
Market, Industry & Competitive Intelligence
- Conduct deep analysis of industry trends, market dynamics, customer segments, and competitors
- Track emerging technologies, engineering services trends, and global manufacturing ecosystems
- Provide insights on new markets, service offerings, and business model innovation
Growth & Inorganic Strategy
- Support M&A, partnerships, and alliance evaluations, including target screening and synergy assessments
- Develop investment theses, financial models, and executive presentations
- Coordinate due diligence activities with finance, legal, and business teams
Performance & Execution Governance
- Track execution of key strategic initiatives and enterprise programs
- Establish KPIs, dashboards, and review mechanisms for strategy deployment
- Partner with business leaders to resolve execution challenges and course-correct when required
Stakeholder Management
- Interface with CXOs, business unit heads, finance, HR, and technology teams
- Prepare high-quality presentations for Board, Executive Committee, and Leadership Reviews
- Act as a thought partner to leadership on strategic priorities
Education & Experience
- MBA from a premier institute (Strategy, Finance, or Operations preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in:
- Corporate Strategy
- Strategy Consulting
- Business Planning roles in large engineering, IT, organizations
- Exposure to engineering services, automotive, aerospace or ER&D domains is preferred
