The Role
We are seeking an experienced, strategically-minded Head of Singapore Equities and Securities Business to take full leadership of the company's securities business build-out in Singapore — from establishing the licensed entity through to launching the digital trading platform and local operations. As business lead, you will be fully accountable for regulatory compliance, team leadership, client growth, and overall P&L, taking the business from 0 to 1 and driving sustainable growth in the Singapore market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of the Singapore securities business — build the licensing framework, organisational structure and operating model from the ground up; drive the launch of SG, US and HK equities trading and expand into cross-border trading and diversified product lines; design market entry and growth strategies against revenue, profitability and AUM targets.
- Own product design, localisation and functional build-out of the Singapore securities trading app, balancing user experience with compliance; partner with Group product and technology teams on AI-driven, data-enabled trading innovation.
- Act as the business representative for CMS licence application and compliance operations, maintaining effective engagement with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS); build and continuously strengthen risk management and internal controls.
- Build and lead the local Singapore team, fostering a high-performance, accountability-driven culture and close collaboration with the Hong Kong team across business, product and technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business or related field; Master's, CFA or CPA preferred.
- 8+ years in securities/brokerage business with solid knowledge of the MAS regulatory framework; prior experience as a Representative or senior manager at a MAS-licensed brokerage preferred.
- 3–5 years building online brokerage or securities trading app products; familiar with relevant systems and vendors.
- In-depth knowledge of equities trading across Singapore, Hong Kong and US markets, including margin financing and US options.
- Proven P&L ownership, balancing strategy with hands-on execution.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of 10+, with cross-cultural communication skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, spoken and written — Mandarin is a genuine occupational requirement for this role, given the need to work directly with the Group's Mandarin-speaking clients, Shanghai/Hong Kong teams and regional stakeholders.
