Role Overview

PrepLadder is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Head of Inside Sales to lead and scale its inside sales function. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth through effective sales strategy, team leadership, funnel optimization, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will own end-to-end inside sales performance, including lead conversion, team productivity, forecasting accuracy, and revenue delivery. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong execution capabilities, analytical rigor, and people management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inside Sales Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the overall inside sales charter, including revenue targets, conversion metrics, and growth objectives.
  • Design and execute scalable sales strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Translate annual and quarterly revenue plans into actionable execution frameworks.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales effectiveness and productivity.

2. Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-layered inside sales organization comprising Managers, Team Leads, and Sales Executives.
  • Establish a high-performance culture through clear KPIs, structured reviews, and coaching mechanisms.
  • Build strong succession planning and capability development programs.
  • Hire, retain, and develop top sales talent.

3. Revenue & Funnel Ownership

  • Own the complete sales funnel, from lead qualification to conversion and closure.
  • Monitor and optimize key metrics such as conversion rates, sales velocity, ARPU, CAC, and revenue attainment.
  • Ensure pipeline hygiene and forecasting accuracy.
  • Drive consistent achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.

4. Process Excellence & Sales Operations

  • Standardize and continuously improve sales processes, playbooks, scripts, and best practices.
  • Leverage CRM and sales technology tools to drive visibility, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Technology teams to streamline workflows and automate processes where possible.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Marketing to improve lead quality, campaign effectiveness, and funnel performance.
  • Work with Product and Academic teams to provide customer insights and market feedback.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance on workforce planning, incentive structures, and cost optimization initiatives.

6. Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Present business performance reviews, key insights, and growth recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Build data-driven action plans to improve revenue outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of business metrics and forecasts.

What We're Looking For

  • 8–12 years of experience in Inside Sales, Revenue, Business Development, or Sales Leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing inside sales teams and consistently delivering revenue targets.
  • Prior experience in EdTech, Consumer Internet, or high-volume sales businesses is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of sales funnels, conversion metrics, and performance management.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and sales automation tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
