Sales Development Representative Head (SDR Head) | Region - India | Full-time | Bangalore | On-site
We are looking for a Head of Sales Development for India to build, lead, and scale our SDR function. This role will own the top-of-the-funnel pipeline generation strategy and lead a high-performing team responsible for prospecting, lead qualification, and creating new business opportunities in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to build predictable pipeline growth and develop scalable sales development processes.

- Build and scale a high-performing SDR team that consistently delivers a qualified pipeline for the sales organization.
- Drive predictable pipeline generation through structured outbound and inbound prospecting strategies.
- Establish data-driven sales development processes that improve lead conversion and team productivity.
- Create a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and continuous talent development.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align pipeline goals with overall revenue strategy.
- Improve lead qualification frameworks and outreach strategies to increase opportunity conversion rates.
- Implement scalable SDR playbooks, cadences, and workflows to optimize prospect engagement.
- Leverage CRM and sales engagement platforms to track pipeline health and SDR performance metrics.
- Provide leadership with insights on market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
- Ensure consistent pipeline growth and revenue acceleration across the India region.
What do we look for:
1. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SDRs across the India region.
- Set clear KPIs, targets, and performance benchmarks for the team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and performance excellence.
Pipeline & Strategy:
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales, Marketing, and other departments to develop and execute an effective sales development strategy for the India region.
- Own and drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation efforts, working to expand the pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Use data-driven approaches to optimize outbound and inbound lead generation strategies.
Hiring & Talent Development:
- Recruit, train, and onboard new SDRs, ensuring they are fully equipped with the knowledge and tools to succeed.
- Continuously provide coaching and development to the team to enhance their prospecting, qualification, and closing skills.
Process Optimization & Technology:
- Define and refine processes and workflows that enable the SDR team to be more efficient and productive.
- Leverage CRM and sales engagement platforms to manage leads, track performance, and optimize outreach strategies.
- Ensure seamless collaboration between SDR, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Market & Competitor Analysis:
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices in sales development and SaaS.
- Provide regular feedback to the product and marketing teams on customer needs, market insights, and competitive positioning.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Track and report key performance metrics, such as lead conversion rates, qualified opportunities, and pipeline growth.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the SDR team's performance and areas for improvement.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- 10+ years of experience in sales, preferably in SaaS or marketing automation industry.
- 5+ years of experience managing SDR teams in a fast paced SAAS environment.
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing SDR teams.
- Strong understanding of pipeline generation, outbound prospecting, and lead qualification.
- Hands-on experience with CRM and sales engagement tools.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
