Elchemy is a tech-enabled cross-border specialty chemicals marketplace. Our vision is to become the largest global speciality chemicals distributor focussing on discovery and fulfillment using a tech-first approach.
Chemicals is an extremely important large and fragmented market with multiple inefficiencies in cross border trade. The global speciality chemicals market is $800bn growing at a CAGR of 5.7%. The industry faces glaring challenges including lack of trust, excessive lead times, quality uncertainty, lack of transparency and tons of operational challenges.
In the past 20 months of the company's operation, we have scaled up our operations serving in more than 32 countries and have active partnerships with more than 100s of customers and suppliers. The company has raised a total of upwards of $7.5mn from marquee investors like InfoEdge Ventures and Prime Venture Partners.
Our highly ambitious team comprises alumni from IITs, IIMs, NITs and have extensive experience of working in startups as well as multinational companies. We want to create a team with A-players and rockstars in all roles. When such a team comes together, no vision seems unachievable, and everyone pushes to deliver outstanding results.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Own revenue targets end-to-end for the SaaS product, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
- Build and execute the sales strategyidentify leads, run discovery, pitch, demo, negotiate, and close deals.
- Collaborate on GTM initiatives including content, outbound campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and partnership development.
- Deliver clear, high-impact product demos and refine value messaging based on customer insights.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to drive satisfaction, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
- Gather customer feedback and translate it into product requirements, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
- Track KPIs, maintain pipeline visibility, create dashboards, and present revenue and growth updates to leadership.
- Contribute to building and mentoring a lean sales and customer success team as the business scales.
Qualifications
- Experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing rolespreferably within B2B SaaS or tech startups.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and consistently closing deals.
- Strong understanding of SaaS business models, key metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, LTV, CAC), and GTM motions.
- Ability to run the full sales cycle independentlyfrom prospecting to negotiation and closure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify and articulate complex product value.
- High ownership mindsetproactive, resourceful, and able to drive outcomes without needing constant direction.
