Job Title: Regional Supply Chain and Logistics Head

Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Regional Supply Chain and Logistics Head to lead our supply chain and logistics operations within our growing distribution business specializing in sports nutrition and better-for-you foods. This role is crucial to ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our products, contributing to our customers health and wellness journeys. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the industry, strong leadership skills, and a strategic mindset focused on optimizing operations to meet the unique needs of our market.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Oversight:

    • Develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with our business goals, particularly focusing on the sports nutrition and better-for-you food sectors.

    • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring alignment with industry standards.

  2. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of supply chain and logistics professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

    • Facilitate training and development initiatives to enhance team capabilities in the context of our specialized market.

  3. Logistics and Distribution Management:

    • Oversee logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, ensuring the efficient delivery of our products to country warehouses.

    • Manage overseas freight partners and tenders, ensuring strong partnerships to deliver cost-effective and timely shipping solutions that meet our distribution requirements.

    • Evaluate and select freight carriers through competitive bidding processes, optimizing transportation routes for the specific handling and delivery needs of sports nutrition and perishable goods.

  4. Supplier and Vendor Relations:

    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners that align with our commitment to quality and health-oriented products.

    • Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with quality standards, reflecting our brand values.

  5. Inventory Control:

    • Implement and manage inventory strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, ensuring the timely availability of products while minimizing issues related to short-dating and out-of-stock (OOS) scenarios.

    • Utilize analytics and forecasting tools to effectively manage demand fluctuations and improve inventory management.

  6. Cross-Department Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and finance to align supply chain strategies with company initiatives and demand.

    • Engage with regulatory and compliance teams to navigate industry standards and ensure product safety in distribution processes.

  7. Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Identify potential risks within the supply chain and implement proactive measures to mitigate them.

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies, particularly those related to food safety and international shipping.

  8. Technology and Innovation:

    • Drive the adoption of technology and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain visibility, efficiency, and responsiveness in the fast-paced nutrition and health market.

    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies that could enhance our operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field MBA preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management and logistics with a deep understanding of the food and nutrition industry, particularly in distribution.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing logistics for perishable and health-oriented products, including overseas freight operations.

  • Strong experience in managing freight partnerships and tender processes with a focus on cost-efficiency and reliability.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in supply chain management software and data analytics tools.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
