Head of Quality Control

We are looking for Quality Head ( Machine Shop) with 15 - 20 years of experience for our plant located in Viralimalai, Trichy.

To lead and drive the overall Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions for Foundry and Machine Shop operations by ensuring product quality, process compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement initiatives in line with organizational and customer standards.

Responsibilities :

Lead end-to-end Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across Foundry and Machine Shop operations.

Establish and monitor quality systems, procedures, and process controls.

Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Drive reduction in rejection, rework, customer complaints, and COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality).

Foundry & Machine Shop Quality

Monitor quality parameters related to casting, machining, dimensional accuracy, heat treatment, and finishing.

Ensure implementation of quality checks for raw materials, in-process inspection, and final inspection.

Oversee calibration and maintenance of measuring and testing instruments.

Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for quality issues.

Customer & Supplier Quality

Handle customer audits, complaints, and quality reviews.

Coordinate with customers on quality improvements and corrective actions.

Develop supplier quality systems and monitor supplier performance.

Systems & Compliance

Ensure adherence to ISO/IATF/EMS/OHS standards as applicable.

Lead internal and external quality audits.

Maintain documentation related to quality systems and certifications.

Team Management

Lead and mentor the quality team across shifts and functions.

Drive capability building, technical training, and performance management within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering.

Additional certification in Quality Management / Six Sigma preferred.

Strong exposure to Foundry and Machine Shop quality operations.

Hands-on experience in inspection methodologies, metallurgy, machining tolerances, NDT, CAPA, and quality systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in handling customer audits and large quality teams preferred.
